Absolutely outstanding! Food, Service, Atmosphere, Friendly staff, and more! I highly recommend this! And to 'tuskup7' - note that Thursday night is a big dining out night in OP so while they may not have been busy, there take reservations and because it is so popular. I hope you give it another shot in the future....

It was the first time at Maya and we were disappointed. The salsa and chips-salsa was good but the chips were just like buying a bag of Tostito chips, not authentic. I ordered a steak and it was good but the trimmings did not taste good. They had a dressing that did taste good. My husband ordered a chicken dinner and did not like the seasoning either, the rice was ok but not great. We ordered the desert sampler and 1 of the 3 were good. Rice pudding was not the greatest, Chocolate cake was ok and the Flan was good. The atmosphere is nice very nice but the food was not so great.

May be the best restaurant in Oak Park. Certainly the most imaginative and complex cooking west of the city, and they know how to make a proper caipirinha. The service had a warm touch that beckons you back. Can't wait to try the Sunday brunch.

We haven't seen this kind of energy in an Oak Park restaurant in years. I felt like I was in the city. Jeremy makes one of the best martinis I've ever had...the salmon is incredible and the owner makes you want to come back for more!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Soooo disappointed- I was going to meet my mom for dinner on a thurs eve. around 5:30, the place was not busy at all and I was told I could not be seated until she arrived. I would understand that if they were busy however they were not. I chose not to wait left and went to a restaurant that sat me and allowed me to order appetizers while I waited. I will never try this restaurant nor will I recommend it, I will let as many people as I can know about this.

Food was good, dishes were interesting. Combination plate was a bit sparse, but other dish portions (5 people) were good but not overwhelming. Going back soon.

This place is wonderful! Its a great addition to Oak Park. Try the salmon, asada steak or the nachos. The owners are wonderful people who are truely invested in their work, definitely worth a visit!
