Review by Oak Park Dining for Yia Yia’s Pancake House

I have frequented Yia Yia's on many occasions and enjoyed the food. I loved how Grandmohters on the menu were acknowledged from different cultures. I asked a few times why "Big Mama's" Grandmothers within the context of the African American tradition was not represented on the menu. The owner looked at me at if I were crazy for even asking. I overlooked it and continued to come. This mornig I brought my daughter and grandson to the Yia Yias, I had forgotten my meal that I was unable to complete. I called to inquire and the owner or whomever said, Yes, you left it and it was thrown away and hung up before I could utter a word. This rude and nasty behavior should be expected from those such as this guy. I doesn't matter how good the food is, they should not receive any African American money because we don't count or matter in representation or courtesy. Yia Yias, in my pocket book is gone gone.
