terrible place from Oak Park, IL said :As you can see the reviews below are from a couple of years ago. When I first moved to Oak Park we would eat here a lot. Recently this place has gone DOWN HILL. My roomates and I went there expecting a typical diner dinner and when I ordered I wasn't told that they didn't have what I ordered until my roomates meals were brought out. I opted for a grilled cheese (I don't eat meat) instead. It came out and my fries were obviously old fries that were re-fried and I could not eat them. I told the waitress that I only wanted a grilled cheese and nothing else but she said that it all came with it including a soup. I said well I don't eat meat and she informed me that the navy bean didn't have meat...but when I took my first spoon up to my face there was a huge chunk of bacon. So, when she came over I let her know that I was sorry but I only would like to pay for the grilled cheese and not the other things that were not edible. She said that was OK. So when I went to pay (and I was charged for a kids meal $4.23) I just let the guy at the counter (who already yelled at an elderly couple while we were in there) know about my situation. He immediately got loud and said well you can't eat a kids meal anyhow you are not 12. I said well I would only like to be charged for the sandwich. He was trying to tell me I had to pay $4.80 for the half of grilled cheese I ate. I told him that was crazy and I would just pay for the kids meal. He fought with me about how I am not 12. My roomate spoke up and said sir, this is bad customer service you are not listening to her and HE PUT HIS HAND UP AND SAID SHHHH to her! I was like OK no reason for you to act like this and he slammed his hands down and called the manager over who didn't even listen to a word I was saying and said you pay $4.80. So then the mean guy at the counter slammed his hands down again and said WELL WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO PAY FOR THIS? So, I threw my change on the counter and called him a jerk. I will never EVER go back here. The food was terrible and their customer service was outrageous!
