French onion soup also a winner. I have yet to try a steak but am certain it will not disappoint. You really can't go wrong with the Golden Steer.

Didn't like the food from Glendale Heights, IL said :We tried to eat that the Golden Steer on Saturday 2/23/08 the wait was long the food was horrible. We ordered the French Onion Soup by recommendation of people we met there waiting and it tasted as if it had been watered down. I then ordered a $27.00 Filet Mignon ordered it medium rare it was cook to the medium rare state but it was horrible no taste dry and I left half of it on my plate to bring home to the Dog he enjoyed it. Our experience was horrible would not ever recommend people to eat there.

The waitresses are all very pleasant, the only thing I could offer is that if there was less smoking it would be perfect, since it is a small place. The onion soup is the best as well. Take the time to try this one, it is great!
